Where to Start?

Fully Charge Your Battery Before the First Use

Your battery arrives partially charged. To ensure optimal performance:

  • Step 1: Fully charge your battery before using it.
  • Step 2: After the first full charge, run your cart down to approximately 20% remaining charge before recharging. Repeat this process for the next two charges.

What are the Best Charging Practices?

āœ… After the first three charges:

  • Avoid discharging the battery below 20% to prevent damage.
  • Fully charge your battery each day after use.
  • Do not leave the charger plugged in for several days at a time. The charger automatically shuts off when charging is complete (green light indicator).

Do I Need to Power Off My Battery After Each Use?

We recommend turning off your Allied battery daily. However, if you forget, the batteryā€™s sleep mode automatically powers it off after a period of inactivity.

How to Wake Up the Battery:

  1. Lift the seat.
  2. Press the power button to turn it off, then back on.
  3. Alternatively, reconnect the charger for five seconds.

Sleep Mode: How It Works

Sleep mode is designed to prevent battery discharge when not in use for extended periods.

āœ… Key Features:

  • Powers off after prolonged inactivity.
  • Sleep activation time depends on battery voltage. Higher voltage = longer activation time.
  • Ideal for vehicles left unused for a week or longer.

Perfect for:

šŸš— Snowbirds, travelers, and seasonal users who leave their vehicles unused for extended periods.

Note: Larger models like the 48V 160AH and 48V 210AH have built-in solenoids, eliminating the need for external ones.

Allied Solenoid & Sleep Mode

Pairing your battery with an Allied Solenoid enhances performance by disconnecting power when the vehicle is off.

Recommended for:

  • Vehicles left unused for a week or more.
  • Preventing accidental battery drain.

šŸ“¦ Compatible Sizes:

  • 48V 105AH
  • 48V 65AH
  • 36V 105AH

Storage Best Practices

If storing your cart for more than a week:

  1. Ensure the key is off and cart is in "tow" or "off" mode.
  2. Fully charge the battery until the green light appears.
  3. Press the batteryā€™s power button to the "off" position.
  4. For select models without solenoids, disconnect cables from the battery's positive terminal to prevent accidental drain.
